    Kari was born in Norway and immigrated to Canada in 2014, where she started taking art classes at Victoria College of Art.

             She has studied drawing, painting, sculpture and design, and was awarded a Fine Arts Diploma in June 2019. 

            Her group shows include the Victoria College of Art’s Spring shows of 2015 and 2016, the ‘Open House ‘ exhibition at Victoria College of Art in November 2016, Natural Resources Canada 2019, and the Victoria International Airport 2019.  She was also is co-creator of the ‘Open Sky’ public art installation with the Open Sky Collective, displayed at Victoria Public Market December 2016.

            Kari was shortlisted for the ‘Float House’ prize in 2015, and her art was published in the book ‘Nothing is So Beautiful.A Floating Inspired Art Collection.’ Her artwork was also published in Island Blue’s coloring book ‘Color Vancouver Island’. Kari has artwork in private collections in Canada and Europe. 

            Kari is inspired by British artist, Rebecca Jewell, among others, and enjoys expressing her love for both art and nature in her renditions of animals, portraits and letters.
